Steve Watson, a landscape professional for more than 25 years, designed, installed and oversees the Currie Tree Farm and Landscape with Billy Currie. His background includes the management of maintenance contracts at Tampa International and Orlando Airports and MacDill Air Force Base. He has also developed and supervised large landscape installation projects throughout the state of Florida, which includes schools, parks, industrial and residential jobs. Customers have included local municipalities, DOT, Disney Celebration and Tampa and Orlando Airports. He has expertise in landscape design, installation and maintenance. In 2003, he joined the Currie family to start a tree farm that would embody the quality and standards that have been a signature of his career.
Billy Currie grew up in a family with a history of entrepreneurship: exposed to a world of car dealerships’, business and real estate ventures. His love of fishing led him to achieve his Captain’s license by the age of 18 and his Masters license that next year. He also obtained his Real Estate license and has been involved with many commercial land deals. His love of the outdoors and his business expertise made the nursery business a natural fit. Involved from the initial design to the development of the tree farm as it exists today; Billy stands for quality and excellence.
